How to grow a VM disk from identifying the Windows volume

Hi there,

I am trying to automate the expansion of a Windows disk on a VM server.

1. I first discover the volume name of the Windows server
   
2. Then I would like to identify the associated disk that the Windows volume is on 
   
3. Then grow the VM disk
   
4. Then extend the disk within Windows
   

Has anyone done anything like this in the past?  I am struggling with the association between the Windows volume and the specific VM disk.
