Where is the audit log?

I have a need to run a report on data in the audit log of CMDB changes but I am having some trouble finding where the audit log is stored.
I would have thought it was in ar_audit _trail but  that turned out to be wrong. 
Have tried find it in the data schema but without luck.
Anyone knows where it is stored????
